Kendall shuffled awkwardly whilst looking at her mentor. He was kind of handsome, she supposed. It was just so strange looking at a man and thinking, “He could potentially save or lose me my life”
Trying to look for something appropriate to say, something to make her seem strong and tribute-like,…
Joey chuckled. “How are you doing?” he repeated with the same accent. He could see that Kendall was so nervous, and he didn’t want that to happen. The first thing his tributes needed was confidence, and that was his first plan. To build her confidence, show her that it’s okay to fight.
“I haven’t met Luca yet, by the way, so I’ve not got much to go off.” he added nodding his head while running his hands through his hair. Slowly, his eyes scanned her appearance. He needed to note how small she was, how strong as these would play important factors in her training.
“So Kendall,” he said finally after finishing his examanation. “Do you have any good skills that could become useful in the Games?”
Kendall laughed at Joey’s Capitol accent, it was even worse than her own.
“I’ve thought about it a lot” Kendall said, tilting her head to the side.
“I’m ridiculously agile and flexible, meaning i can easily dodge almost anything i can see. The problem there will be things that i can’t see. I’m good with knives and any other small object. I can climb as fast as i can run… which is fast. I’m also scarily good at creeping up on people”
Listing, Kendall had done so much listing. Every single on of her allies, endless listing.
Joey nodded. “Very good, so awareness is your weak spot then?” Awareness was one of the most important things in the games, so that definately needed working on.
“After the training we do, you won’t be able to miss a thing. You seem like very good tribute in the games, I have a good feeling you’ll win. Is there anything else you’d particually like to work on?” he asked, as he made mental notes in his head of everything that needed doing.
